When we began in 1977 we were creating "Instant antiques", a manufactured nostalgia. Through the years our customers came to us in groups of friends. Then they would pair off as couples. Some of them returning year after year with new partners.
Then in the Late 80's we witnessed many wedding proposals in the studio as gangsters, civil war generals and pirates all asked for hands in marriage on the set. Fortunately everyone accepted.
Shortly thereafter we started photographing their children, and lately their children's children.

A season does not go by where someone brings in a 20, 25 or 30 year old photo they want us to reproduce.
